Students will use Adobe software to create various marketing materials, including social media posts, posters, flyers, and promotional videos. By the end of the course, students will have developed a comprehensive understanding of branding, design elements, and digital illustration techniques, as well as creative problem-solving and marketing strategies.

#1 - Create a High-Impact Marketing Campaign

In this project, high school students will have the opportunity to create a high-impact marketing campaign for Beats headphones using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. They will review past Beats campaigns, establish the overall look and feel of the campaign, and use design elements to create multiple marketing pieces, including social media pieces, half-page ads, and a brochure cover design. Through this project, students will develop skills in graphic design and illustration, as well as creative problem-solving and marketing strategies.

#2 - Campaign for the New Mac Studio Desktop

In this project, you will be designing a campaign for the new Mac Studio Desktop computer. Your task is to develop the look and feel of the overall campaign, starting with a print ad design that establishes the campaign's visual style. You will then use the design elements created to design other materials needed to support the digital side of the campaign. By the end of this project, you will have developed a comprehensive understanding of branding, design elements, and digital illustration techniques.

#3 - Launching an Adventure Sports Ad Campaign

In this project, you will develop a complete branding design for an adventure sports company that targets high school students. You will choose a specific style of adventure sport, such as mountain biking, surfing, or skateboarding, and create a slogan, theme, and brand identity that will appeal to your target audience. You will use Adobe software to create all the marketing materials, including social media posts, posters, flyers, a website, and a promotional video. Finally, you will launch the campaign and evaluate its success.

#4 - Party-Perfect Club: Bringing Creativity to Life!

In this design project, you will be designing a new club that caters to an upscale, dance and party crowd. Your task is to create a name, logo, and poster designs for the grand opening, keeping in mind the client's vision and target audience. You will also use Photoshop to create a visual representation of the logo and signage on an old warehouse located in the heart of Philadelphia. Additionally, you will explore different staff uniforms and merchandise designs to bring the club's branding to life. By the end of this project, you will have developed a comprehensive understanding of branding, design elements, and digital illustration techniques.

#5 - Original Music Group Launch

In this project, you will develop the entire branding and marketing campaign for a new music group launch. You will start by creating the concept and visual identity for the group, including the name, logo, and branding elements. Then, you will use your design skills to create all the marketing materials needed for the launch, such as posters, album covers, social media graphics, and more.

#6 - Magazine: Graphic Design and Layout Project

In this project, students will use their design and illustration skills to create a magazine that effectively communicates information about a chosen topic. Students will start by developing a name, concept, and logo for their magazine, and choosing the visual style. They will then design a cover that effectively balances important information about the organization or brand with iconic graphic design components such as images, columns, and sidebars. Finally, they will refine their design and create a spread page that showcases the feel of the topic. Through this project, students will develop their skills in graphic design and illustration, as well as their creativity and problem-solving abilities.
