Snowboard Design Project: Unleash Your Creativity on the Slopes

Day 1 - Introduction to Snowboard Design

Objective: Today, we'll kick off our Snowboard Design Project. We want you to start exploring your creativity and coming up with ideas for your unique snowboard design.

 

Introduction: Pay close attention as the teacher explains the project's goals and the importance of expressing your creativity in your design.

 

Sketchbook Session: This is where the fun begins! Grab your sketchbooks and drawing materials.

Start sketching ideas for your snowboard design. Try out different shapes, patterns, and concepts.

 

Bottom Design Selection: After your sketching session, we'll each present our initial bottom design sketches. Listen to your classmates' ideas and share your favorite design concept.

Day 2 - Front Design Development

Objective: Today, we'll focus on the front design of your snowboard and start turning your ideas into something more concrete.

 

Sketching the Front Design - Grab your sketchbooks again.

Start sketching ideas for the front design of your snowboard. Think about how it complements your chosen bottom design.

 

Day 3 - Transition to Digital or Traditional Medium

Objective: Today, we'll explore how to take your sketches to the next level using digital tools or traditional art techniques.

 

Introduction

Learn about your options for translating your designs into digital or traditional mediums.

 

Software/Traditional Medium Exploration

If you're choosing digital design, you'll get an introduction to relevant design software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop).

If you prefer traditional mediums, you'll have access to art supplies and techniques.

 

Guided Work Session

Start translating your design concepts into the chosen medium.

Don't hesitate to ask for help or advice if you need it.

Day 4- Finalizing and Importing Designs

Objective: Today, we'll work on finalizing your snowboard designs and getting them ready for presentation.

 

Recap and Critique - We'll start by summarizing what we've learned so far.

You'll have the chance to critique your classmates' designs and receive feedback on yours.

 

Finalization: Make those final tweaks and refinements to your designs.

 

Digital Import: If you're working digitally, learn how to scan or import your designs into Photoshop or your chosen software.

 

Layout and Presentation: Create a visually appealing layout for your snowboard designs within Photoshop or your chosen software.

 

Presentation: Finally, each of you will present your finished design and share your creative journey with the class.
